Effect of caponization on growth performance and blood parameter in Fayoumi Cock

Caponization is generally supposed to affect the growth performance, carcass composition, and meat quality of male chickens. The present research work was conducted on 90-day-old Fayoumi birds at Shahedul Alam Quaderi Teaching Veterinary Hospital Chattogram Animal Sciences University during period from August 2018 October 2018. objectives study were evaluate effects caponization surgical efficacy complications, blood parameter changes (CBC, serum protein, glucose). experiment divided into two groups, an experimental group, a control group with equal number (n = 10). Only caponized age 90 days reared for 62 until they reached 152 age. Each bird in both groups given care, feeding, water, housing. separate tag record-keeping. revealed that 20% died surgery, next day 40% found develop wind puff, average wound healing 6 days. feed water intake slightly lower compared group. There no significant variations body weight gain, feed, or intake. Blood CBC (except PCV value monocyte count), glucose levels also not significantly changed between (p>0.05). But decreases keeps count stable poultry (p 0.05).
